基于Mortan码的地形简化方法研究
RESEARCH ON THE TERRAIN SIMPLIFICATION BASED ON MORTAN CODES
【摘要】 对于基于网格的三维地形来说 ,其 DEM网格的数目直接影响计算机的存储资源、数据的存取速度以及三维地形的显示速度。作者提出了一种根据 Mortan码编码的思想来实现地形网格简化的方法 ,该方法首先根据 Mortan码编码规则对原始数据进行简化 ,然后利用简化的数据绘制地形 ,绘制地形时进一步根据 Mortan码编码规则对地形网格面片简化。这种方法的优点是能够在保证不降低网格精度的情况下实现网格 DEM数据的压缩以及三维地形上面片的简化。将该方法应用于荆江某地区三维地形的动态显示上 ,取得了比较理想的效果
【Abstract】 For the three dimensional terrain (3 D terrain) based on grid, the number of DEM grids will impact the computer storage resource, data access speed and the display speed of 3 D terrain directly. This paper proposes a method to make terrain grids simplification according to Mortan coding. This method firstly simplifies the original data according to the principle of Mortan coding, then, renders the 3 D terrain using these simplified data, and when rendering, the DEM grids are also simplified according to the principle of Mortan coding. The merit of this method is it can compress the DEM data and simplify the terrain grids without precision reducing. The authors used this method for the displaying of 3 D terrain at Jingjiang region and got a good effect.
