【Abstract】 According to the requirement of the Rules of Track and Field Athletics the setting out of the curved start on the bend of the track and field ground in open race was analyzed mathematically. At present, the setting out methods adopted at home and abroad, such as the "inserting needles" method and the "joining dots" method do not accord with the Rules of Track and Field Athletics. It is needed to put forward over again the ellipse shape of setting out, published in Volume 1 of the Sports Information issued by Xi’an Institute of Physical Education in 1982.更多还原
