不同色域映射算法视觉效果的一种评价方法

【摘要】 研究彩色复制系统中比较各种色域映射算法视觉效果的一种评价方法.以彩色打印机原有的色域作为源色域,打印出由多个色块组成的图像作为原图;以一个假设的小于打印机原色域的色域作为复制色域,按不同的色域映射算法打印出复制图像,以复制图像与原图的相近程度为判据,对各种算法的效果进行视觉比较.视觉评价实验比较了clip(截切)、lin(线性)、knee(单折)和sigmoid(S型)等色域压缩映射算法的效果,在多数情况下clip算法效果较好.

【Abstract】 Attempts to find an evaluation method for the comparison among visual effects of different gamut mapping algorithms in color image reproduction. The results of such comparison may be helpful in the selection of mapping algorithms. The gamut of a printer is taken as a source gamut and an assumed gamut which is smaller than the source one is taken as a reproduction gamut. Different mapping algorithms are applied to a picture composed of a number of color blocks to map the picture from said source gamut to the reproduction gamut. The printed mapped pictures are compared to the original picture and arranged in order in terms of the degree of visual similarity between the mapped and original pictures. Visual effects of mapping algorithms of "clip", "lin (linear) ", "knee" and "sigmoid" are compared with each other, and it is concluded that in most cases the "clip" is better than the others.
