【Abstract】 In his article,"Translation,Community,Utopia",Lawrence Venuti proposes that in translating,the translator should try to establish a community which is a bridge of language and culture between two nations.The perfect translation is an Utopia.The objective of translating is to express the linguistic and cultural difference.The present paper tries to do a further research on his translation theory,and elaborating his "foreignizing" theory.And it also concludes that the objective of translating is to reserve the differences rather than seeking common ground.更多还原
