含锗硫系玻璃中氧吸收的消除

【摘要】 降低材料的吸收是硫系玻璃研制的关键之一。本文指出了硫系玻璃中氧吸收的本质,介绍了消除氧吸收的三种方法,分别为真空焙烧高纯原料,在氢气氛中加热石英反应器及在原料中填加微量铝。

【Abstract】 Chalcogenide glasses (Chg) have excellent transmittance in the extantion of 8~12 μm within their infrared ray transparence range 0.9~14 μm. There are intrinsic and extrinsic absorptions in Chg. Intrinsic absortion in Chg defines their region of transparency to infrared radiation. Extrinsic absortion determines the percentage of the theoretical level of transparency achievable in Chg. Oxygen is the main impurity causing extrinsic absorption in Chg. Three means were adopted to remove oxygen from quartz tube and raw materials: (1) heating quartz tube to 1000℃ in H2 gas; (2) heating high purity raw materials to 300℃ under 6.67×10-7 Pa pressure; (3) adding trace high purity Aluminium. Al can easily combine with oxygen, Al-O bond absorption is free in the range 0.9~14 μm.
