【Abstract】 An UV spectrophotometric method was established for the determination of encapsulation efficiency and release rate of ceftazidime, combining with separated methods of dialysis and a minicolumn of Sephadex G 50. Linear relationship was found in the ceftazidime concentration ranging from 0.18 to 6 mg/L. The average recovery was more than 99%, and the relative standard deviation was less than 0.5%.
