【Abstract】 The results of analysis on six newly-developed wide-compatibility (WC) rice lines indicated that all of them belong to intermediate type with three lines-755, 855 and 1330 similar to 02428 in wide compatibility, but the other three ones showed poor compatibility to japonica rice. There are also some differences in combining ability for major economic characters between them. In two-line intersubspecific hybrid rice breeding, the compatibility of a WC line is foundational and its combining ability is key. Only the lines with good compatibility and high combining ability are of practical values.更多还原
