【Abstract】 In the F2 generation of a crossing between indica and japonica rice, significant correlations were observed among the number of the large and small vascular bundles in neck-panicle, the primary and secondary branches and their grains, and the grains per panicle. Grain number per panicle was mainly determined by grains on secondary branches, which in turn determined by the number of secondary branches. The grains per panicle, therefore, were affected by the number of primary branches, large and small vascular bundles in neck-panicle through the secondary branches. The number of vascular bundles in neck-panicle was mainly controlled by genetic factors. Some problems related to the rice breeding of super-high yield were also discussed.更多还原
