【Abstract】 Based on the multiresolution properties of wavelet analysis, this paper presents two new algorithms for the X ray image enhancement. These algorithms normally produce adequate contrast in the output image, while result in almost no ringing artifacts even around sharp transition regions and avoid excessive enhancement of noise.
