【Abstract】 The transcranial Doppler(TCD)was used to investigate the mean blood flow velocity (Vm) and pulse index(PI)of the intracranial artery in patients with hypertension(41 cases), patients with cerebral infarc-tion(54 cases)and 53 healthy people. The results showed that patients with hypertension got higher Vm values because of the vascular spasm,and that patients with cerebral infarction got higher PI values because of the vascular degeneration and stenosis.
