【Abstract】 Traditional studies on windinduced transmission line vibrations are mostly performed under the assumption that the transmission line is with its two ends suspended rigidly on line towers, but the actual structure is not the case. In this paper, a model considering the interaction between transmission line and absolute strings of line towers is presented.
