【摘要】 为突破1ntel处理器在实地址模式下1MB内存空间的限制,绝大多数微机配备了扩展内存并在操作系统层上根据EMS(ExpandedMemorySpecification)规范增加了扩展内存管理功能EMM(ExpandedMemoryManagement)。但由于扩展内存不能按常规的线性存贮器方式存取,管理又较为复杂,因此,仅限于系统使用,应用程序很难直接访问。本文较深入地研究了EMM功能,并在此基础上设计了一个高层应用接口,任何高级语言应用程序可以通过此接口实现对扩展内存的存取操作。

【Abstract】 In order to resolve the limitation of 1 M memory in the real address mode of Intel CPUs, most PCs are equipped with expanded memory and management faction of expanded memory (CMM) is increased based on EMS. Due to expanded memory can not be accessed in the normal linear mode, and its management being more complicated, the application is difficult to access in it directly and its utility is limitd in the system. The fanction of EMM was studied deeply. On the basis of the study a high-level language application program can access in expanded memory directly through this inferface.
