【Abstract】 Virtual local area network(VLAN) is a new solution for enterprise network, to which more attentions are being paid by network designers due to advantages of reduction of administration overhead, flexible ways of network configuration and logic topology, capability of realizing physical independent logic architecture, effectiveness of avoiding broadcasting storms, and bandwidth saving. We also introduce the basis of the VLAN over ATM backbone, communication between VLANs or members in specified VLAN, and their application in ATM backbone of Shanghai Railway Station.更多还原
