【Abstract】 Blast was the principal disease of rice in Sichuan Province.Practices confirmed that breeding and cultivating the resistant rice varieties was the most economical and effec- tive for controling blast.Evaluating varietal resistance to blast was necessary for breeding and utilizing resistant varieties of rice.Based on the ecological conditions in Sichuan and through testing for over 20 years,the standard methods have been developed for the identi- fication of physiological races of blast fungus and the varietal resistance testing both in the blast nursery field and by artificial inoculation in the glasshouse.The scales for measuring the degree of resistance and susceptibility have also been described.更多还原
