【Abstract】 The paper surveys exiting HT element formulation and its applications in elasticity and heat conduction. The T elements may be used to generate highly accurate h and p extension elements, which exhibit many important advantages over the conventional ones. The applications cover fields like plane elasticity, thin and thick plates, thin shells, poisson′s equation, axisymmetric 3 D elasticity, postbuckling behavior of thin plate and transient heat conduction analysis.
