【Abstract】 It is reported that the combination use of the LZ-1200 FIA hydride generator and the WFX-10 atomic absorption spectrophotometer is applied to the determination of mercury in garbage samples. A thorough study is made on the choice of concentration and flow rate of the reaction medium, length of the reaction coil, and the effects of co-existing ions. The proposed method has the special feature of high accuracy and precision, simple and rapid in operation, and low consumption of chemical reagents.
