【摘要】 本文以全国硕士研究生入学考试《英语考试大纲》对英译汉的要求为标准，以分析１９９５年全国攻读硕士学位研究生入学考试中英译汉一题的全文为依据，对当年英译汉参考答案中若干词义的选定提出质疑。文章强调：参考答案应忠实实践考试大纲的原则，严格根据上下文选定词义更多还原
