多点广播传输协议MTP的研究和改进

【摘要】 本文描述了Internet网络工作组提出的支持多点广播的传输层协议MTP,指出导致其关键数据传输可靠性较低的根本原因是NAK数据确认方式,并提出依靠层次型ACK确认方式对其进行改进,保证关键数据传输的高可靠性,并且证明改进后的MTP协议模型的系统性能有所改善.

【Abstract】 Multicast Transport Protocol was presented by Internet Network working group in1992. With analysis to reliability performance of old multicasting transport protocol, the authorsfind out that the NAK confirmation mechanism leads to the low reliability of the critical datatransmission, so we revise it and present a new confirmation mechanism ACK confirmation based onhierarchical to improve the reliability of the critical data transmission. This paper describes themechanism of ACK agency, which is the key concept in this article. In this model, total system reliabilityis guaranteed by two levels sub--reliability, they are transmission communication process (datasource) to ACK agency and receiving process in local area network from ACK agency respectively.Meanwhile the throughput of the whole system is reduced. This paper also introduces itsmanagement in detail, consists of establishment, replacement, normal quit and abnormal quit processes.This new raised mechanism uses both ACK and NAK combinative data confirmation method. NAKmethod is used in traditional MTP, while ACK method is appended to the revised MTP. It analysesnew scheme and proves that the revised system gives higher throughput performance in this paper.
