【Abstract】 The East China Sea West Lake Depression Pingbei district locates in the outer shelf of the East China Sea. The depth ranges from 60 m to 90 m below sea level in general. This district belongs to the low energy environment under wave base. In the article, by analysis of grain, heavey mineral and paleoorgamisms, the authors have found that the sediment characteristics in the district are different from the general regularity.
