【Abstract】 The Cook distance and the curvature asscssement of local influence analysis are extensively used in statistical diagnostics. However, these assessements of influence analysis lack of an objective criterion to judge the largeness of influence. Recently, Fung et al (1997) pointed out that the normal curvature is not invariant of a uniform change of scale. In this paper, these assessements are improved and objective benchmarks to judge largeness are provided. The methods of assessement for local influence analysis are improved.
