淀粉-丙烯酸接枝共聚物凝胶的溶胀与相变
EQUILIBRIUM SWELLING AND VOLUME PHASE TRANSITION OF STARCH ACRYLIC ACID GRAFT COPOLYMER GELS
【摘要】 用自由基聚合法合成了6种不同中和度(α)的淀粉-丙烯酸接枝共聚物凝胶试样,测量了在25℃纯水中的平衡溶胀率(1/Φ),发现:α<40%之前,随α增加,1/Φ迅速增大;α>40%以后,1/Φ却随α增加而稍微下降.符合Konak-Bansil方程,α>20%的试样,随(水/丙酮)混合溶剂中丙酮含量(Va%)变化,均发生体积相转变,α越高的试样,相变相应的Va越低,与Hirokawa等的丙烯酰胺-丙烯酸钠共聚物凝胶的实验结果正相反,对于这种实验结果不同的原因进行了讨论。
【Abstract】 Six gel samples of starch acrylic acid graft copolymer with different stoichiometric neutralization degree( α ) were prepared by radical polymerization. The equilibrium swelling ratio(1/ Φ ) in water were measured at 25 ℃. It is found that 1/ Φ increase rapidly while α changed from 0 to 40%, but the 1/ Φ decrease slowly after α >40%. This result is in accord with the Kok Bansil equation. For gel samples of α >20%, a discontinuous phase transition was observed while the acetone volume fraction( V a) in acetone/water mixture was changed. The higher the α of the samples, the less acetone(smaller value of V a) is needed in mixture for the phase transition. This result is contray to the experimental result reported by Hirokawa et al for acrylamide sodium acrylate copolymer gels. The reason of the different results was discussed.
