改性KTP晶体二谐相位匹配条件的研究
Study of Phase Matched Condition for Second Harmonic Generation in Modified KTiOPO 4 Crystal
【摘要】 报导了掺Nb改性KTiOPO4(KTP)晶体二谐相位匹配条件的研究结果,用倍频实验和通过测量主折射率计算最佳相位匹配角两种方法来核实掺铌KTP晶体的最佳相位匹配角.实验结果表明,两种方法所得的最佳相位匹配角差异不到01°.与纯的KTP晶体比较,对1064nmNd∶YAG激光,掺Nb后,KTP晶体的最佳相位匹配角变化较大.随着Nb浓度的提高,最佳相位匹配角从纯KTP的θm=90°,φm=231°(在xy平面内)通过非临界相位匹配条件θm=90°,φm=0°变化到xz平面内的θm<90°,φm=0°.测量表明,在掺Nb2O53%(mol)熔体中生长出的KTP晶体最佳相位匹配条件为θm=8836°,φm=0°
【Abstract】 Study results of phase matched condition for second harmonic generation in modified KTiOPO 4 (KTP) crystal are reported in this paper. Optimum phase matched angle in modified Nb doped KTP crystal is checked by two kinds of methods such as frequency doubling experiment and calculating through principle refractive index of crystal. It is shown that the difference of optimum phase matched angle is less than 0.1 degree for the two kinds of methods. Compared with pure KTP crystal, the phase matched angle of Nb doped KTP for 1 064 nmNd∶YAG laser changes remarkably. Along with Nb increasing, the optimum phase matched angle form θ m =90°,φ m =23 1° for pure KTP crystal passes through non-critical phase matched condition θ m =90°,φ m =0° to θ m <90°,φ m =0°. The phase matched angle is θ m =88 36°,φ m =0° has approached non-critical phase matched condition for KTP crystal grown from melt contained 3%(mol) Nb 2 O 5 .
