【Abstract】 This paper reports the experimental results on the identification of the false Renminbi by using proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE). The measured PIXE spectra show the elemental compositions of the pigments for the false Renminbi are different from that of the genuine, So PIXE method can be used to discern the false paper currency from the genuine. The measured PIXE spectra also show that the elemental compositions are different each other from the false Renminbi that are made by different fabricators’, thus it means PIXE method is useful to the provenance of false paper currency.更多还原
