【摘要】 1996年包头西 6.4级地震是一次十分重要的地震 ,又是一个非常特殊的地震。集二十多年对强震前主要震兆特征和地震活动图像演化的认识 ,无论在 6.4级地震前看到的 ,还是震后震例总结的 ,种种震兆异常基本集中在临河地区 ,而不是包头地区。作者从 7个方面阐述了包头西 6.4级地震的震兆特征的特殊性 ,提出这类地震如何预报问题更多还原

【Abstract】 The MS6.4 earthquake occurred in west Baotou on May3,1 996,is a very specific strong earthquake.With the knowledge of seismic precursor characteristics and earth- quake pattern evolution before strong earthquakes for more than2 0 years,the MS6.4 is different from other strong earthquakes in Yinshan belt.The anomalies before and after the MS6.4 quake were found in Linhe rather than in Baotou.We discussed the specific characteristics ofseismic precursors before the MS6.4 earthquake from seven respects,and proposed a suggestion of prediction for this kind of strong earthquakes.更多还原
