【Abstract】 In this paper, the conepts about the multiresolution analysis are intreduced. By taking the piecewise cubic B-spline as the scale function, a multiresolution bearn element is developed. Besides, being used as the usual beam elemnt, this new elernent can also be used in adaptive anaysis to find the local dynamic features of the structure.
