【Abstract】 The effect of water depth on trial speed for ships navigating in shallow water is analyzed in this paper. The Millwards three dimensional modification method is recommended as a base for considering the shallow water effect. The trial result for a ship with large dimensions is taking as an example for analyzing. It is shown that this method is rather practicable to be used for predicating the trial speed correction.更多还原
