【Abstract】 One hundred and sixteen patients (56 with laparoscopic appendectomy, 60 with open appen- dectomy) were assessed. Comparison between two groups was made in safety, operation time, postoperative complications, recovery and cost. The patients were discharged earlier and the operation time shorter in laparoscopy group than open operation group (4.2 vs 8.5 days and 39, 4 vs 50.1 min respectively). The results showed that the pain was seighter, and normal activity and exercise returned more quickly in laparoscopy group (8.4 vs13.5 days) in comparison with those in operation group. Laparoseopic appendectomy is suitable for simple, suppreative and gangernous appendicitis without serious complications. The cost in laparoscopic group is more expensive (4100 yuan vs 2750 yuan).更多还原
