【Abstract】 According to the demands of development of medical and pharmaceutical undertakings upon pharmacists, we investigated the present condition of pharmacists in 80 general hospitals. We propose the professional standards which a pharmacistshould be provided with. The standards comprise 6 aspects, dispensing, preparation, drug control, pharmaceutical research, storage and supply of drugs and comprehensive knowlege of pharmacy.
