【Abstract】 A xanthan/CrCl₃ gelling solution as prepared and after standing for gclation over 3 and 24 hrs, respectively, is used in a lot of laboratory coreflood experiments.It is shown in single core experiments that the plugging capacity of this gelling system for water is slightly higher than that for oil; the lower the permeability of the core the more severely it is plugged. With parallel double cores it is ascertained that the gelling solution of definite viscosity can aggregate at the entrance of the cores with permeability greater than a definite value thus forms face plugs. The. face plugs can be removed mostly by treating the core with 1.5% hypochlorlc acid.更多还原
