【Abstract】 In the past accidents of XLPE cables were inspected by exerting DC voltage on the cables after outage. This method would damage the cables due to destruction of insulation. In order to solve this problem an on-line inspecting instrument was successfully developed by Shanghai Cable Institute and Baoshan Iron and Steel Company. The instrument will not damage cable insulation during inspection. The instrument is presented in this paper.更多还原
