【Abstract】 This paper describes the development of a traffic safety GIS in Honolulu,Hawaii. The development of a prototype system for spatial analysis of traffic collisionsis described. Various classes of spatial analysis involving pointS, segments, and zoneswith special reference to the nature of motor vehicle collisions and traffic safetyresearch are developed and described.
