【Abstract】 In this paper a new kind of electrode containing rare earth was developed by adding suitable amount of varied rare earth additives into basic covering.The results show that the electrode not only has excellent technological properity, but also makes weld microstructure fine acicular ferrite due to purifying and fining effect of rare earth.
