【Abstract】 A study was made of the heterosis and genetic variation in 129 "two line" cross combinations of ramie (Boehmeria nivea). A marked positive hybrid vigour was noticed in yield, plant height and productive plant rate in the F 1s. No significant heterosis existed in fibre content of fresh bark or fibre fineness, most of the F 1s being intermediate between their parents and prone to be similar to the female parent. No significant differences were observed between the F 1s and their parent clones in yield/hill, fibre fineness and other economic characters. A few promising combinations were obtained which over yielded the predominant local varieties by 20% or more with a fibre fineness of 1800 NM and little variation.更多还原
