【Abstract】 This paper presents a new regional texture mapping method based on classical two part texture mapping techniques. According to the geometry of target surfaces, an optimal intermediate surface is determined, and the texture pattern is embedded in 3 space on the surface, then the pattern is projected onto any specific region of the target surface in a way. Compared with the traditional texture mapping, the proposed method has some advantages because the position and size of texture pattern on the surface can be easily located and modified, and the texture pattern distortion in texture mapping can also be reduced.更多还原
