【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of the traditional forming mechanism of the residual stresses in the welded joints, a new mechanism is established to explain the phonomena that could not be explained cleary with the common one. Besides the plastic deformation of the base metal, the restrained solid state contraction of the weld metal is another important reason which contributes to the welding residual stresses in the welding of steel structure.更多还原
