【Abstract】 The numerical methods widely adopted in simulating casting process are summarized in this paper, and the main characteristics of semi solid alloy thixocasting are analyzed. It came to conclusion that the Lagrangian method with locally refined mesh is more effective to simulate this forming process when compared to Eulerian method.
