【Abstract】 In this paper,a new species of the genus Enpeodes is described from Liaoning,China. Eupeodes (Eupeodes) borealis He ct Zhang,sp.nov.Male; Length 12.0- 12.5mm. Angle of frons at approximation of eyes 90 degrees. Facc(Fig. 1) occupying 54% of head width. Postocular orbits near vertical triangle medium width( Fig. 3). The abdominal pattern can be seen in Fig. 5. Female unknown.This new species is rather similar to Eupeodes (E. ) eosus He,but differs from it in :discal cell and cubital cell of wing without bare areas; facial tubercle with upper and lower part unsymmctrical in profile; gcnitalia (Figs. 6-8) different.Holotypc $ , Liaoning: Bcnxi, 3 - VII - 1993, Zhang Chuntian; paratypc 1 , Liaonong: Xinbin, 9 - VII -1990,Zhang Chuntian. The holotypc of the new species described here is deposited in the Insect Collection of Shanghai Agricultural College,the paratypc is deposited in the Insect Collection of shcnyang Normal College.更多还原
