【Abstract】 For the promotion of the study of diabets mellitus, assigned formally by the Health Department of the country, our college began to breed Cricetulus barabesis Pallas (Vulgo; Chinese hamster). In the Spring of 1980, 60 Cricetulus barabesis Pallas were bought from Beijing, appraised by Beijing Traditional Chinese Medical Institute. By now, we have successfully bred spantaneous moderate, mild type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus animal mod-le and inbreeding. We have about 1,000 Chinese hamsters in cage, which is the only massive Chinese hamster group. After 15 years (from 1980 to 1995) of observation, research and breeding of Chinese hamsters, now here Ⅰ give a brief account of their bellicose behavior.更多还原
