【Abstract】 The mechanism of equivalent dispersion is analyzed in this paper. Based on experimental study and observational results of typical reach in the Pearl River, it is expressed that the fluctuations between sectional averaged values and tidal averaged value of velocity and concentration are the main reason which causes equivalent dispersion. The practical calculation method of equivalent dispersion coefficient is developed and the phenomenon of negative dispersion is discussed.更多还原
