【Abstract】 Analyzing the backgrounds and requirements of production scheduling in different industries, which are discrete manufacturing, batch production and continuous processes, this paper makes a conclusion that a common structure of the general production scheduling problem in these different industries can be found and studied as a general production scheduling problem. This generalized problem can be described as a hybrid dynamic system, which includes both the continuous time dynamics for the basic production process and the discrete event dynamics for real time events and relevant decision making. The two dynamics are real time interactive. The paper explains the characteristics and modeling of the general production scheduling problem with a switching flow system example.更多还原
