【Abstract】 To ensure the product development process carries out smoothly, this paper presents the concept of a project coordination system for concurrent engineering (PCSCE) which can coordinate the workflow of a product development process, the relationships among the departments of product development and the process of conflict resolution. The tasks, which must be completed by PCSCE in the product development process, were analyzed. The architecture, the functionalities and the integrated mechanism of PCSCE subsystems were defined.
