【Abstract】 Wood is inmeltab1e and insoluble natural composition material. It can be converted into melatble or soluble new type polymeric materials by means of typical modifying reactions of cellulosic material - esterifications of etherifications. Some meltable chemical modifying wood can be used as hot - melt adhesives or to produce self - bonded wood or partideboard. Some solutions of chemical modifying wood which resoluting in suitable solvents can be used as reactive resin raw materials to produce thermoseting resin adhesives.
