【Abstract】 A set of Fit Capability Indices developed from Process Capability Indices is presented for predicting and controlling the degree of meeting fit specifications by the machining processes of the mating sizes based on the relationship among the three distributions of hole/shaft mating sizes and fit sizes in this paper.
