【Abstract】 Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) has been widely used as a de facto standard for managing TCP/ IPchased networks.Since there are significant limitations to this important standard, RMON, Remote (network) MONitoring, was developed and became a standard.In this paper, after have discussed the SNMP protocol and its mal1agement mechanism in detail, we explained the internal workings of the RMON standard, the structure of the RMON Management Information Base(MIB).Finally, explained the method on the iniegration of SNMP and Remote network MONitoring technologies for network management.更多还原
