【Abstract】 The origin and characteristics of giant magneto - impedance (GMI) effect in softmagnetic ribbons or wires and its applications were discussed in this paper. GMI effect results from the cbange of permeability of a soft magnetic specimen when an external mag- netic field was applied and has a close relation with the magnetic anisotropy, the conductivity, the shape of the specimen as well as the drive current frequency. Specimen with GMI effect can be used as high sensitive field sensor, etc.更多还原
