Combined effects of hepatitis C virus and other factors on primary hepatic carcinoma
【Abstract】 162 cases of primary hepatic carcinoma were studied in some areas of Jiangsu province. 162 healthy persons were selected in the same place and made 1: 1 matched casecontrol study with PHC patients according to sex, age and occupation. ELISA was used to detect anti-HCV antibody of the two group persons. It was found that HCV infection rates of patients and control were 16. 7% and 4. 32 % respectively. There was significant difference between patients and controls (P<0.01). Ten factors were selected according to the way of hepatitis virus infection and other elements harmful to liver function. Cases of PHC and healthy controls were analyzed by conditional Logistic regress of single-factor. It showed that, apart from the history of intravenous injection and the history of drinking, all other factors are influential to hepatic carcinoma (P<0.05), and it was most noticeable of HBV infection. It also showed that infections of HBV and HCV virus were combined effects on hepatic carcionma.
