【Abstract】 The effect of petroleum on the Tilapia mossambica is studied by analyzing the change of the contents of electrolyte and cholesterol in serum. The study results show that (1) The effect of petroleum on electrolyte is not statistically significant; (2) The petroleum pollution reduces the content of cholesterol in serum; and (3) The threshold of petroleum on the serum cholesterol is less than 0. 24mg/L.
