【Abstract】 A new indtistrial process for the productinn of 2,2-dimethyropiony1 chloridehas been successfully developed. 2,2-Dimethylpropanoic acid (Ⅰ) is first produced by the re-action of isobutanol with 85% formic acid in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid. 99%Pure Ⅰ crystals that stay colorless for a long tim can be produtal when crude Ⅰ is cooled atlow temperature and then seperated by centrifugation. Colorless 2,2-dimethylpropionyl chlorideis produced by aopation of Ⅰ with PCl3 at 87.2% yield.更多还原
