【Abstract】 The synthesis mechanism of high impacted polystyrene (HIPS)was reviewed. The polymerization kinetics,the grafting reaction and the grafting efficiency,the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of polymer,and the phase inversion during polymerization were discussed.
