【Abstract】 The paper proposes a concept of CIMS/CE (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System for Concurrent Engineering) on the current trends of the computer application to mechanical manufacturing, discusses the characteristics of CIMS/CE system should be, and provides the structural model of CIMS/CE system.
